The Boulder Startup Scene

Are you an Adventure Capitalist? A person who needs as much time on the trail as you do online? Allow me to introduce you to Boulder, Colorado — possibly the hottest bed of startup-y-ness outside of The Valley.
Last month I discovered Boulder Beta, an affiliate of the popular SF Beta startup mixer. Tim Falls, a Community Manager at Boulder’s own SendGrid, produces the Boulder events. “It’s a smaller scene here than in California, but I like that” he told me. “Everybody knows each other and there’s a real sense of community here.” Along with great networking like the Beta events, Boulder’s got incubators, co-working spaces and VC’s, just like Silicon Valley.
But they also have Buddhist Geek Conferences, morning snow hikes, and everything else that comes with living in the Rocky Mountains. If passionate about tech and the outdoors, Boulder’s got a spot for you.
