THIS JUST HAPPENED: A SOCIAL NETWORK FOR LEGO LOVERS

Image via ReBrick

Finally! A LEGO social network–for adults! And it’s official!

ReBrick is a combination of Facebook and Pinterest but with a LEGO twist. You can share links, upload a profile image (or choose from a selection of minifigs if you don’t want to use a personal photo), and follow others.

The home page features bookmarked images grouped into popular categories like trains, buildings, sci-fi, and figurines. (Note: You can’t directly upload your own images to ReBrick, but you can share links to your personal creations on YouTube or Flickr.) A simple “Star Wars” search brought up hundreds of inspirational images and how-to-videos. From there, I can ‘like’ it, tweet it, add it to my favorites, or leave a comment.

The new social network also comes equipped with a feature similar to that of “pinning” on Pinterest. Add the icon to your browser and you can instantly grab a link and share it on your account. Read more at WIRED’s GeekDad.
