How to Pimp Your New Facebook Timeline.

Timeline is here. Like the tide, there’s nothing you can do to stop its slow crawl across the shores of Facebook. But it’s not all bad. Timeline allows for a lot more creativity in your profile and a few tweaks might even get you some more pokes.
First the cover. The cover is that humongous picture across the top. It’s a clear nod towards good web design that focuses on visuals. There’s some great creative examples to help inspire you and tutorials on how to take pics. Whatever you do, use a big, bold (and high-res) photo. Or at the least, sell it for ad space.
It has now become a constant cat-and-mouse game with Facebook and privacy. There’s a lot that has changed, including more “talkative” apps and more exposed personal info. Get a handle on what you want to share and don’t want to share.
Finally, the coolest (and freakiest) thing about Timeline is that it literally spits back your entire life (or life until circa 2004). You’ll see ALL your exes, your trips to seedy bars, your ill-advised poetry. Facebook remembers it all, so go back and delete or hide those stories (typically by hovering over the item) and move on with your life.
