The DG’s Guide to Fashion & Social Media

It’s no secret I’m a man of style. So I’ve been eagerly following along as the fashion industry changes in response to social media. And as you can imagine, it’s a big worldwide web. So where to start?
First, a word on forums. Places like Styleforum and Reddit can be great places to learn, but be careful of the snark factor.
There’s tons of blogs, one really for any taste. My favorites in menswear have to be The Sartorialist , A Continuous Lean, and Selectism for more modern wear, and Hypebeast, High Snobiety and Nicekicks for more street aesthetics. Web mags like Valet are also worth checking out.
Lookbook and Pinterest can be great places for inspiration, although the former is geared a bit towards the hipster crowd.
Finally, Tumblr is a huge source of great style blogs. Die, Workwear and fuckyeanickwooster are two of my favs.
