THE BIGGEST SOCIAL MEDIA TIME SUCKS

Statistics like this used to come as a surprise–“What? I won’t spend nine years of my life glued to a TV! I’m interesting! I have a life!”–but now that social media has entered our lives, screen time has surged and the statistics are undeniable.
1. FACEBOOK (DUH.)
Facebook rules the roost as the number one social media time suck. It’s been said that Americans average 100,000 years on Facebook each month. People are on Facebook so much that the statistics don’t even make sense anymore.
2. TUMBLR (REALLY?)
The easy-to-use blogging platform, which often reminds me of Pinterest in the sense that I can addictively repost other users’ images for hours, ranks in at 1 hour and 38 minutes each month.
3. PINTEREST (TOTALLY.)
We warned you that it was addicting, but urged you to sign up anyway. Pinterest users are pinning away about 1 hour and 17 minutes per month. I call BS. No one can visit this site for only an hour.
