In a way, the Syyn Labs group in Los Angeles is one of the coolest, most innovative and original regular hackathons there is. But they don’t build apps or websites. Instead, they get a bunch of talented people together and make things like this Google Science Fair Experiment. They’re also the ones responsible for that famous OK Go music video that staged a larger than life Rube Goldberg machine.
The 30+ member group is made up of engineers, computer scientists, robotics experts, architects, and performance artists. When they get together, you’re sure to see science presented in a way you’ve never seen before, like the time they built this giant illuminated DNA sequencer. Their Twitter feed is well worth a follow if you’re a fan of mind-bending science videos.
