Every day online, tweets are sent, YouTube videos are watched, and Facebook photos are uploaded. In the midst of these commonplace internet activities, we sometimes forget amazing things happen on the internet every day.
Have you heard of the lost boy who found his way home using Google Earth? No, it’s not a modern fairy tale. It’s a true story. The five-year-old found himself lost and scared, was eventually adopted by an Australian couple, and more than 2 decades later, used the Internet to find his family.
What about the Indian-American man (and Photojojo founder) who used Tumblr and other social media sites to find a perfect bone marrow match for his Acute Leukemia diagnosis? The Internet saved his life.
And you can’t help but reconsider your own million-dollar idea when you hear about how Kickstarter kicked off three $1 million dollar projects in a two-week span. That brings a whole new meaning to product innovation and funding.
