MAD MEN SOCIAL MEDIA PRIMER

It would have been a great cliffhanger if it hadn’t been so damn long. But finally, after more than a year and a half in TV limbo, “Mad Men” returned this past Sunday. And while the real ad men of the time did some great work not even Mr. Draper could have foreseen the power of the internet in shaping our experiences. Here’s some great ways to tech-ify this season’s Mad Men mania.
First, get acquainted in the (ahem) ins and outs of the show’s many amorous relationships, thanks to WIRED.
Then, get up on AMC’s promotional experiences, like their iPhone app, which helps you hone your bar-tending skills (useful for those big client meetings), and their “Mad Men Yourself” website. Honestly, if you haven’t done that as a “Mad Men” fan, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Next, tap into Twitter. After all, the premiere was the social media event of the seasons. Follow these amazing Twitter parody accounts. You might as well follow the official “Mad Men” account as well.
Finally, start Draping, the meme inspired by the iconic art of the series.
