HOW YOUR FACEBOOK EXPERIENCE CHANGES AS YOU GROW UP

Image via WIREDInsider

I don’t want to say that I’m getting old. But even after just a few years out of college, you start to notice…things. Suddenly, it’s a little harder staying out all night. And the morning after is a lot less “epic” and a lot more “oh God why did I eat all those burritos?”

But one of the most noticeable changes comes out of your Facebook experience. Let’s highlight a few changes that occur on your Facebook UX during and after you’ve got that degree in French Microbasket Weaving.

Photo Content:
During college: Lots of red cups. Lots of blurry photos from dark frat parties. Over-exposed shots from Spring Break trips. Maybe a few pics from grad parties where you’re wearing those hideous pleated pants from American Apparel.
After college: Lots of disembodied hands with rings, captioned with “OMG.” Newborns. Photos of new puppies running around in big backyards. Meals made from scratch.

Likes:
During college: Bob Marley. The Spaghetti Monster. “Fixie or Die”. The Matrix films. Memes. The Twilight Books.
After college: The Natural History Museum. The Today Show. BBC World News. The American Dental Association. The Twilight Books.

Status Updates:
During college: “Why am I so tired?”
After college: “Why am I so tired?”
