2012 WEBBY AWARDS: THE NOMINEES ARE IN

With nearly 70 categories just for the “Websites” portion of this year’s extravaganza, it’s safe to say that the Webby Awards have secured their claim as the official awards arbiter of The Internet. I’ll have Smarter Upstarter’s picks for the winners as we get closer to next month’s ceremony, but for now we can all be using the nominees listing as a sort of discovery tool for stuff you may not have known about. Music fan? You probably already have Spotify or Pandora or both. But did you know NPR makes a pretty awesome music app that streams music? A free one? Election season’s coming up, what are the best political blogs?
