I’LL DRIVE: WHY GOOGLE DRIVE IS AWESOME FOR CREATIVE TYPES

Google Drive—the latest in The Plan to Rule The Known Universe from the internet demigod —launched recently. It’s the next phase in the storm which is cloud storage. So why is Google Drive a good thing, especially for creative/artsy types like yours truly?
In a word: Integration. Integration isn’t a sexy word, but having all of your file types work and fit seamlessly onto a single platform is sexy. Google already had all my vids (YouTube), pics (Picassa) and fan fiction about The Hunger Games (Google Docs/Gmail). With Drive, these things all live in one place, all for the low, low price of “free”—another plus for the young creative with zero disposable income. Next up: allowing Google Drive to do a lot of my hosting, thereby taking care of two birds in one cloud.
Of course, “integration” is still coming for an iOS version but for now this is the next move towards having all of my creativity be everywhere I am.
