SMARTER UPSTARTER: YANCEY STRICKLER

Every week since its inception, Smarter Upstarter has tweeted a “Kickstarter of the Week”. We’ve been big fans of the site since the beginning, so we’re psyched that Cofounder Yancey Strickler will be speaking at this week’s WIRED Business Conference .
Mr. Strickler has a great story, having started as a music journalist with Spin and The Village Voice before launching Kickstarter. He’s got a great Tumblr blog and Twitter feed. And his company is defining the creative economy, with over $175M raised for independent artists, inventors, authors, and other creators.
