GEEKDAD DAY FLAME THROWER

Some kitchen gadgets are downright feminine—cakepop makers I’m looking at you. However, a torch of any kind is an undeniably manly kitchen gadget that just might be the answer for GeekDad Day. So, which non-industrial flame thrower makes the grade? Don’t fear, WIRED is on it.

The Wall Lenk Bella Tavola Kitchen Torch is a winning choice. The flames measure .5ā€ to 1.5ā€ and at up to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit, they give a wide range of melting, browning, and searing options (and other creative uses). While WIRED had some frustrations with the design and use of the buttons, the lightweight and cool to the touch mini flamethrower packs a lot of fun for about $45. Go ahead Dad, make a scene and perform some impressive and tasty party tricks this summer!
