SWAP-O-MATIC USHERS IN THE APOCALYPSE

Call it another sign of the End of Days. “And ye, regular Capitalism will break down and, behold, Bartering will again be en vogue.” What other reason can there be for the recent appeal of the Swap-O-Matic?
Swap-O-Matic is basically a vending machine (no messy human trader to haggle with) composed of locked boxes. Bring something to swap, and the machine unlocks a box for you and allots you some points, tied to your email. After earning a few points, you’re able to open up a box and take something. It’s bizarre, but also bazaar (ha!).
Originally the brainchild of a Parson’s student, the Swap-O-Matic has evolved into its current digital version, and is spreading the good news of bartering in and around Brooklyn.
You know what I’m going to barter for? Food and ammo. The end of Days is going to be rough.
