The dogs of planet earth are not going to like this. Meet Joggobot, a prototype flying droid that glides several feet in front of you as you huff and puff through your morning run. Built for those who enjoy running with others but can’t always find a buddy, Joggobot can serve as a surrogate companion when you need some company.
First you’ll need to put on a special t-shirt that Joggobot can look at in order to measure its distance from you and determine the proper cruising altitude. From there, Joggobot can either work in “companion” mode, keeping pace with you as you go—hey! Just like dogs!—or in “coach” mode, where the robot helicopter takes off and it’s up to you to keep up. Marketing tip: change the name to “Joggobot-5000” and you’re all set.
