TWEETING YOUR TIME

Image via Buffer

If you have access to your company’s Twitter account at your job, you’ve no doubt come across some of the high-octane management tools out there such as Hootsuite and Tweetdeck. These are powerful applications, but the problem for many of us is overkill—the first time I saw Tweetdeck on someone’s screen, I thought I was looking at a Boeing 767 instrument panel. If you’re just looking to schedule some tweets without all the extra power user stuff, try Buffer.

Buffer is a web and smartphone app that let’s you schedule tweets. For zero dollars, you can add a Twitter account and schedule up to 10 tweets in advance, specifying exactly when you want them to go out. Spend 30 or 40 minutes in the morning to map out what you’d like to talk about that day, and you’re free to forget about tweets for the rest of the afternoon.
