COMIC-CON RECOMMENDATIONS FROM CULTURAZZI

Today’s the first day of San Diego Comic-Con. For those who have never been, imagine a fanboy/girl wonderland that would make even Jesus say, “Hm. Cool.” There’s literally not enough time in theĀ time/space matrix of reality to see everything, so here’s my quick recs:
Anything Adult Swim: Adult Swim consistently develops some of the most original and hilarious stuff out there. They’ve got tons of panels throughout the Con’s four days, but my pick is the Robot Chicken/Robot Chicken DC Comics Special (Friday 3:00pm, Keith Indigo Ballroom).
Meet The Artists/Creators: There’s tons of celebs at the Con, but I’m jazzed for Doctor Who, going down on Saturday at 2:30 pm (line tickets drawn at 9:00 am). If you want something a bit more mainstream, check out the Lionsgate booth (#4035) on Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m, where cast members of some obscure movie called “The Hunger Games” will be signing autographs.
The Masquerade It’s funny, I’ve been to Comic-Con four times and I’ve never been to the Masquerade, arguably one of the most sought after tickets in the whole shebang, where every day Joes get to, for a few days, become bigger than life. Sigh. There’s always this year.
What are you looking forward to at Comic-Con?
