OLYMPIC APPS

Next Friday is the big day: the opening ceremonies! And while we’d all like to sit at home and watch every single event, it’s most likely not going to happen. But thanks to modern technology, you can keep up with the Olympic Games on your smartphone.

The Official Apps

There are three official London 2012 mobile apps including the Join In App which will tell you where to go and what to see; the Results App for stalking schedules, medals, and athlete bios; and the Official London 2012 mobile game. It’s a little kid-ish, but it could be fun to pretend you’re an athlete in real London 2012 venues.

NBC Updates

Get the NBC Olympics “Live Extra” app and stream live video coverage of hundreds of Olympic events. If you’re more concerned with medal counts, NBC Olympics can tell you – spoiler alert! – real-time results and medal counts.
