The only time I’m in great shape is when I’m training. When I know I have to run a 10 to 12 mile obstacle course designed by the British Special Forces –that gets me out of bed and to the gym. I’m talking about the Tough Mudder, people. And you should join me in training for something insane. Too scared? Don’t worry, you have a few options:
For Those Who Are Scared
For mud run beginners, the Warrior Dash is a great fit. It’s a 5K obstacle course, and you get a fuzzy warrior helmet at the end. And a beer, of course, but that goes without saying.
For Kind of Cool People
The Spartan Race gives you options – would you like a 3-mile race with 15 obstacles? An 8-mile race with 20 obstacles? Or a 12-mile race with 25 obstacles? Take your pick.
For Bad Asses
The half marathon I’m running two weeks before is only training for the Tough Mudder. I’m not looking forward to getting electrocuted at the end (how do you train for that?), but I supposed I don’t really have a choice.blog comments powered by Disqus
