SO YOU WANNA BE A SUPERHERO?

We’ve shown you how to make your own superhero accessories as well as how to craft a transformers costume out of cardboard, but what would happen if we cut the crap? Let’s push aside the spray paint, Styrofoam, and duct tape to see what it would really take to make a super suit. The answer? A whole lotta cash.

Mashable broke down how much it would cost to be Batman and what it would cost to be Iron Man. The totals are astounding. A real Batman costume costs upwards of 1 million (the only thing you can probably afford is the Kevlar Nomex Gloves) while a working Iron Man suit will set you back over 110 million dollars. And you can’t afford any part of it.

These totals don’t even include cars, weapons, Bat Caves, and the like. I guess this is why there are only a handful of superheroes out there…
