Stop yelling at your kids for texting too much. Those extra charges on your phone bill might pay off someday-–to the tune of $50,000. I guess it’s no surprise that the latest US National Texting Championship winner is 17. Those crazy kids.
The winner, Austin Wierschke, dominated challenges like texting while wearing blackout goggles, texting a backward phrase, and texting phrases with multiple symbols, capitalizations, and punctuation marks, according to MSNBC. Contestants were judged on speed and accuracy.
Wierschke won the competition last year as well. That means his texting addiction has now earned him $100,000. Stop forcing your toddlers to throw left handed and pass them a phone instead.
