STARTUP JOBS DEMYSTIFIED

Image via Angel List

To an outsider, the startup world can seem like an impenetrable network of ex-Google and Facebook developers, venture capital veterans, and freshly-minted Harvard and Wharton MBA’s. But it’s possible to break into the tech scene—be it Silicon Valley, New York, or elsewhere—even if you aren’t super-connected.

Angel List, the niche social network for startups and the VC’s who follow them, may have just launched the best startup job board ever. Dubbed Angel List Talent, the job board takes the mystery out of startup employment by listing not only which companies are hiring and jobs their hiring for, but also specific salary ranges and equity offerings.

Even if you’re not looking for a startup gig, Angel Talent is an interesting look behind the curtain at what startups are paying for talent these days, and more importantly, how much equity they’re offering.
