Visit any startup office anywhere in the world, and you’re guaranteed to see one thing: engineers wearing headphones while hacking away on the next big web 2.0 product—and by the way, shouldn’t we be at web 2.1 now? That release is taking forever. Nevermind. My point is that this was the scene at a downtown SF startup I visited last Friday, until all of a sudden everyone lost their headphones and someone brought out the little gadget you see above, a Jawbone Jambox.
Turns out on Friday afternoons, everyone steps out of their personal DJ set and they do a community Turntable.fm session out loud for the whole office as they wrap up the week. Nice! Not only is it an easy little piece of camaraderie I discovered, but I also laid eyes on a new Jambox Remix—the color-customizable version of Jawbone’s original bluetooth speaker. Over 100 color combinations available.
