Have you ever been confronted by one of those do-gooders that just takes it too far? Perhaps it was a diehard, fixed-gear cyclist that threatened to run you over for daring to accidentally step into the bike lane, or a vegan that lectured you on the evil of meat in the supermarket? Such is the inspiration for the Collective Comic Project’s main villain, the Vegan Hipster, an idealist on a mission to destroy lasagna-eating, electric-car driving, bike-lane disruptors all in the name of creating a better planet. The 10-week series developed by Feast launched on August 1 after tapping into the Comic-Con and Feast communities to vote on the main story elements.
Now halfway through, this progressive series is being brought to graphic reality by 10 ultra-talented illustrators from around the globe. Unveiled in page installments, the plot has taken surprising twists and turns, which fits right in with Feast’s 2012 theme to “Create a Better World.” To follow the story and learn more about what Feast does to make the world a more creative place year-round, go to www.feast.istockphoto.com.
