Well, I’d never quite thought about it before. I’m so obsessed with Instagram and Scramble with Friends that the popularity of international apps never crossed my mind. (Little did I know that Angry Birds came from Finland!) Here are a couple foreign apps that you’ll want to get to know right now:
The Instagram of Japan
If I didn’t have you at “Instagram of Japan,” then maybe I’ll get you at “cute Japanese stickers.” In addition to filters, Pick lets you add words and graphics to your photos. Shut. Up.
Free Texting from China
In the US, we like WhatsApp Messenger for free texting, but in China, WeChat rules. It’s more than simple free texting – it’s voice texts and video chats, too. Plus, there’s Instagram-inspired photo filters that you can add to photos before hitting send.
