Ah the cloud, that great computer motherbrain in the sky that’s taking the load off our earthbound Macbooks and Thinkpads so they can focus on the big-picture stuff. We hear a lot about cloud servers and music storage, but even tiny details like photo sharing can be cloud-sourced.
Droplr for Mac is a clever little utility that helps you quickly share photos, links, documents, whatever. Simply drag what you’d like to share onto the little icon that lives on your menu bar, and it automatically creates a short URL for it that’s copied and ready to be pasted anywhere. Killer feature: a built-in keyboard shortcut for capturing screenshots and automatically creating a web link to them. No more random “Screen Shot 2012-09-17…” files all over the place.
