IS FACEBOOK KILLING THE HIGH SCHOOL REUNION?

Image via vauvau

My 10-year high school reunion is next weekend. Should I go?

In a world where we’re “friends” on Facebook with almost everyone we went to high school with, why would we bother catching up at a reunion? I’ve already seen who had a baby, who got married, who has a cool job, who went to Vegas last weekend, who got skinny, and who got fat. I know a whole lot about a whole lot of people. I just haven’t actually talked to them.

According to some sources, high school reunion attendance is down below 20 percent. But other sources claim that Facebook is making reunions happen. With Facebook, planners can easily create a group and start rounding up the entire class in minutes.

Did Facebook drum up excitement or stop you from attending your high school reunion? Comment below or Tweet us @WIREDInsider.
