The WIRED Insider Culturazzi Series hosted by Marriott Hotels & Resorts officially launched! It was a night of social-networking and surprises as Smarter Upstarter Alexis Ohanian invited the 5 Boston Startups to Watch to an evening of startup small talk at the Boston Long Wharf Marriott. Beantown’s most talented, brightest, and hippest served up some ultra-piping hot ideas.
The panel featured speakers from each of the startups—Chris Allen from Brass Monkey, Max Goldman from Directr, Michael Hagan from LevelUp by SCVNGR, Dan O’Malley from PerkStreet Financial, and Susan Hunt Stevens from Practically Green. The conversation ranged from elevator pitches to favorite startups in Boston to where to get the best coffee in Beantown.
After the panel partygoers sipped signature cocktails like the “Smarter Upstarter” and the “Chief Disruptor” while voting for their favorite startup of the night with Tagstand bracelets in the Marriott Great Room.
