HOW *NOT* TO WIN AT CROWDFUNDING

You already know how to win at crowdfunding, but now we’re going to cover the worst ways to kick-start your project. Our friends over at GeekDad get bombarded with requests from Kickstarters asking for coverage. They’ve learned a few things in the process and want to share their findings on how not to get funded:

Be Unclear

It’s all about the video, but make sure your video gets the main point across: what the heck is your product? What does it do? How does it work? What will you do with my money? If I don’t understand, I’m not backing your project. Or blogging about it.

Be Unrealistic

Really think: do you need that much money to fund your project? Can you bring your project to life with such little funding? Will people pledge to your project at that high of a reward level?
