MICHELIN RATINGS – TO BELIEVE OR NOT TO BELIEVE

In the midst of the releasing of this year’s dining bible – err, Michelin Star ratings of restaurants –there has been some discussion over the legitimacy of the rating system.
As the URL address “famouslyanonymous.com” may suggest, the Michelin team has prided themselves on anonymity and integrity for years, and, quite frankly, everyone took the bait. Now, though, there is some push-back from skeptics. According to one Esquire article, among others, Michelin is operating by their own rules, and we shouldn’t be so quick to hold their ratings on a pedestal.
