If Facebook can build a web service that hosts as many people as McDonalds, surely the tech world has something to offer us in the way of improved healthcare. I’m sure that’s exactly what the folks behind Rock Health were thinking when they started their incubator for health-related startups. Ok so they were probably thinking about a lot of other things as well, judging by the team and resources they’ve put together to help spur innovation in this important space.
It doesn’t have the sexiness of photo sharing or micro blogging, but companies in Rock Health stand to make a serious impact, and the incubator positions them to do just that. Check out some of Rock’s offerings to companies in the program: $100k investment, expert support from the Mayo Clinic’s Center for Innovation, and free legal and design consultation.
