EVERY STEP COUNTS

There are plenty of calorie counting apps, fitness monitoring gadgets, and work-out-tracking websites out there. How do you choose which one is right for you? For me, sometimes it’s about simplicity.
The battery-operated Fitbit Zip is just that – it tracks your steps and transmits them via Bluetooth to a mobile or desktop app. My favorite part? Beside the $60 price tag, the key-fob sized gadget took a note from Foursquare and awards badges for things like taking 10,000 steps in one day.
As a freelance writer who’s afraid she’ll become fat working from a home office (two steps to the bathroom…10 steps to the kitchen…repeat), the Fitbit is just what I’m looking for. Read more about its features at WIRED.
