YOU ARE YOUR CONTENT

Hipster Runoff had a strangely poignant, somewhat confusing mini-manifesto up the other day. It’s definitely along the Millennial/Angsty-But-Not/Generation Me/Odd Future Wolfgang Kill Them All social thing that seems to have grabbed my generation by the reproductives. It rings true to blogger types like myself, who literally live and eat by the content we create, but also applies to anyone in the world with an internet connection faster than 5 kb/s. We’re all up on Facebook and Twitter, rummaging through Google and old Geocities blogs, spending almost every waking hour viewing, reading, interacting, checking-in, replying, retweeting, writing, or deleting. If your life can be boiled down to your digital foot print/newsfeed/profile pic, what are you? In short: You. Are. Your. Content.
How do you define your content? Honoring Hipster Runoff’s soliloquy, I want you to take a break and fill in the blank: My content is ___________. Let us know on @wiredinsider.
