Tattoos by Twitter

Tattoos have gotten big. I think my even my grandma has a neck tattoo by now. I don’t have any, but I’ve learned a few things about getting them, namely, make sure your ink is meaningful.
So what better way to have a tat be meaningful than by crowdsourcing? The Social Tattoo Project hopes to draw attention to global problems in a personal way. Volunteers get tattooed with social buzzwords that are picked up by the project’s Twitter page. Tweet with #socialproject about your worthy cause and it may go from trending topic to tramp stamp. The project hopes to keep serious social causes from slipping away into the ether, although I think they probably could have just organized a teach-in or two.
What do you think?
